True Inclusiveness, is a program developed to create a more inclusive community for the blind by making a visual world tactile. We provide our community access to printed materials in Braille and large print format as well as Braille labeling and signage where appropriate. Our Four Steps to Inclusivity assessment/training is provided for public locations, caseworkers, caretakers, friends and family members. This training teaches how to best support blind individuals in our communities without invading their privacy or stripping them of their dignity and independence. This process assists public locations in creating comfortable, readily accessible employment opportunities for vision impaired and blind individuals. We are a family and as a family we are the community. We invite you to join our mission and be a part of the true movement by either volunteering, donating or mentoring within our programs. Thank you in advance from our family to yours, and welcome to the true movement
Menus for Venues is a program that provides large print and Braille format menus, as well as other documents, to companies that provide services to the public on a daily basis. Examples of such companies are: restaurants, cafes and bars, event centers and hospitals. Along with our Four-Step Inclusivity Training, Menus for Venues will help your company be readily accessible to blind individuals within the community. Hydration For Donation is a fundraising program that was developed to raise awareness and funds for our services, to aid in their implementation. You can host an event, invite us out to yours or simply allow us to set up a stand outside of your facility where we will be educating the public on our services. We offer three types of hydration stands. The first is a fresh fruit water stand where we offer several flavors of fresh fruit water, such as pineapple, watermelon, cucumber and limeade. The second is our Movement Mimosa stand, where we offer mimosas with pineapple, orange, and cranberry juice and are famous Goal Ball Beverages. Our third option is allowing us to place watering holes at your next race or corporate event. Here, True Independence will provide stations with free water so everyone can stay hydrated throughout your event, while enjoying the festivities and learning about True Independence.
